Interested in being a participant in the BrewBQ Craft Brew Zone?
Craft Brew Zone participants are the heart of Independence BrewBQ. Each year breweries, brew clubs, and craft beer distributors converge in the Craft Brew Zone to share their best creations with our attendees. This is an opportunity to network with other brewers while making connections with potential fans of your brews. All proceeds from the event benefit our charity partner.
Prizes are awarded for the following:
- People’s Choice – the best craft beer voted on by Craft Brew Zone pass holders
- Beyond the Brew – the best non-beer voted on by Craft Brew Zone pass holders
- Brewer’s Choice – the best craft beer voted on by fellow Craft Brew Zone participants
Participation in the Craft Brew Zone includes:
- A 10×10′ covered location to serve from (BrewBQ will provide tents if you do not have your own)
- Serving tables
- Containers for beer and ice
- You are welcomed and encouraged to personalize your space as you see fit to reflect your brewery or brew club’s theme.
- BrewBQ provides souvenir tasting glasses for our participants in the Craft Brew Zone. For breweries, all brewery staff that assist with the tasting will receive a glass. For home brew clubs, each person providing a beer for the event will receive a glass. Additional people in attendance to assist you will receive a previous year’s glass for sampling (limit one glass per person).
Participation guidelines:
- Craft Brew Zone participants may start setting up their station anytime after noon the day of the event. We ask that you arrive to set up no later than 2:00 p.m. Vehicles will not be allowed in the Craft Brew Zone after 2:30 p.m. We ask that you plan to arrive early enough to have your vehicle unloaded and outside the Craft Brew Zone by 2:30 p.m.
- This is a 4 hour event so we ask that you plan how much beer you bring accordingly. We also ask that you limit pours to 2 ounces per serving.
- Craft Brew Zone participants will serve their brews to attendees from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. the day of the event. We ask that someone always be present at your station during that time frame. You may flag down a BrewBQ volunteer to help cover if you need to step away for a moment.
- V.I.P. Beers – Our V.I.P. pass holders receive a V.I.P. only hour from 3:00-4:00 p.m. We ask each brewery and brew club to select a beer that will be unique to our V.I.P. ticket buyers. Note: if you have extra of this beer that has been open, you may serve it during the last hour of operation (6:00-7:00 p.m.) of the Craft Brew Zone.
- Under no circumstance are you to sell your product to the public.
