As a past charitable partner of BrewBQ, Otter Creek has consistently demonstrated its dedication to the event by providing volunteers, fulfilling responsibilities, and offering unwavering support. This year, as they celebrate their 7th anniversary on August 19, we’re excited to highlight the incredible work they do for animals and our community.
A Mission of Compassion
Since its founding, Otter Creek Animal Shelter has given hundreds of animals a second chance by placing them in loving forever homes. While these animals wait for their new families, the shelter ensures they receive the best care possible—providing them with love, attention, and the necessities for a healthy and happy stay.
Beyond animal care, Otter Creek is deeply involved in the community. They offer:
- Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) Programs: A low-cost option to help manage the feral cat population humanely.
- Educational Initiatives: Programs that teach the community about animal welfare, including hands-on activities like building shelters for feral cats.
- Collaboration with Local Organizations: Partnering with businesses, clubs, and schools to create engagement opportunities at the shelter.
- Pet Food Bank: A vital resource for individuals struggling to provide food and care for their pets, with demand increasing significantly in the past 18 months.
