Independence BrewBQ Joins Forces with the Buchanan County Animal Shelter

The Independence BrewBQ is pleased to announce the selection of the Buchanan County Animal Shelter as its 2015 charity partner. “We are extremely happy to be working with the volunteers from the Buchanan County Animal Shelter,” said Terry Gaumer, BrewBQ board member. “They are a dedicated group of individuals working to improve the lives of animals throughout our county and we look forward to this partnership.”

The Buchanan County Animal Shelter is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding homes for misplaced animals in Buchanan County. Their new facility is located just North of Hazelton on Hwy 150.

The volunteers from Buchanan County Animal Shelter will be joining Independence BrewBQ volunteers during the August 22. They will also be assisting with the Independence Farmers Market on the following dates:

  • Saturday, June 20th
  • Saturday, July 11th
  • Saturday, August 8th

2014 Charity Partner Announced!

BrewBQ is proud to announce our 2014 Charity Partner for this year’s event will be the Buchanan County Volunteer Co-Op. We are looking forward to their involvement with the event & providing funds for a worthy cause.

Buchanan County Volunteer Co-op has been providing extended preventative home visitation and support services since 1984. These services are meant to strengthen and empower families with children, at no cost, that reside in Buchanan County. Emergency and Crisis Child Care Services are also available at no cost to county residents
