R.A.S.H. Ride Too Information

Join us for this party cycling ride that features a 25 to 30-mile route through the easy rolling landscape of eastern Buchanan County with SAG wagon support. Pass through three of Buchanan County’s picturesque small towns to check out food and beverage from some of our favorite watering holes.

  • Ride registration and check-in start at 8 a.m. at Riverwalk Parks in Independence.
  • Ride departs Riverwalk Parks at 9 a.m. and ends around 3 p.m.

Make sure to return to Riverwalk Parks when you finish the ride. Admission into the park is free to enjoy live music and the purchase of tasty BBQ and cold beverages. Check out the Craft Brew Zone featuring more than 100 craft brews to sample (passes must be purchased to enter the Craft Brew Zone area).

FAQ

  • Entry into the BrewBQ at Riverwalk Parks is FREE and those under 21 can still register for the R.A.S.H. Ride Too only (those under 18 years may register with guardian authorization).
  • Please be aware that no coolers, no alcohol, or pets are permitted within the BrewBQ fenced in area. Also, no alcohol is permitted outside the fenced area.

How to Register

You can register for the R.A.S.H. Ride Too in advance on our Eventbrite page or you can register the day of the event during morning registration and check-in. Those who also purchase a Craft Brew Zone pass on Eventbrite before the event will be added to the Will Call list. You just need to stop at the Will Call area when you arrive back to the park prior to the Craft Brew Zone tasting and your BrewBQ commemorative glass will be given to you at that time.


About R.A.S.H. Ride Too

The original R.A.S.H. Ride began in 2002 with the help of area sponsors and the co-sponsorship of 4 area teams. The ride derives its name from veteran area bike teams (Rawhide Riders, Team Native, Subtle Savages and Team Fish). In 2019 R.A.S.H. Ride joined forces with the Independence BrewBQ to offer the bike ride during the morning and afternoon leading up to the kick off of BrewBQ at Riverwalk Parks.

R.A.S.H. Ride Too is an annual ride that helps raise money for the Buchanan County Four Seasons Trail Association. The trail association consists of a diverse group of citizens working to develop a recreational trail system within Buchanan County which can become a component in the statewide trails of Iowa.
